Our schedule and activities include guest speakers and panel discussions on topics such as expanding faculty roles in the business community, building program brand, and attracting international students. You will find that our speakers will add value for associate degree programs as well as bacc/grad schools. This site also contains the conference agenda and other links of interest for your visit to Kansas City.

While you are in KC

We hope that you have some time to stick around before and after the Region 5 Conference.  Listed below are just a few activities and locations you might want to add to your itinerary.  We have lots of shopping, including the new Coach Outlet Store at the Ledgends at Kansas Speedway. Be sure to consider the world famous Country Club Plaza (the first exclusive shopping district in the U.S.), and don't forget to add Hallmark's Crown Center to your list and Zona Rosa at I-29 and Barry Road.

There are several golfing venues that are convenient to the Marriott or Kansas City International Airport if you want to get in a round on the way out of town.  The Deuce at the National was designed by Kansas City golf legend Tom Watson.  Staley Farms and Tiffany Greens are also located up north as well.

As for entertainment Kansas City is the home of AMC Theaters and we have more screens than we can count if you want to catch the latest film.  If music and good times are on your agenda, The Power and Light District is a short walk from the hotel.  Lebron James and the Miami Heat will be in town on Friday, October 17th to play the Golden State Warriors at the Sprint Center.  The venue is located across the street from P&L. You can still get good tickets online if you care to take in a battle between two NBA powers. The Richard Petty Driving Experience is at the Kansas Speedway over the weekend, so if you have ever thought of driving a NASCAR racer, now is your chance.
